The Carlson Family Foundation supports your generosity by offering these Personal Legacy Matching Grant opportunities throughout the year and during the Carlson Community Giving Campaign.

CYCLE ONE

Employee gifts made between January 1 – March 31 may be eligible for these matching grant requests:

• $5,000 Grants
  • First 5 employee donations of $5,000+. Grant will support the same nonprofit as the employee donation.
    
• $250 - $1,000 Grants
  • First 5 employee donations of $250+. Grant will support the same nonprofit as the employee donation.

A combined maximum of $30,000 will be awarded during Cycle One.
Complete and submit the online Matching Grant Form to begin the request process.
Pledges made during the 2024 Carlson Community Giving Campaign, but paid in 2025, are not eligible for a Cycle One match.

CYCLE TWO

Employee entries into this portal that are not matched during Cycle One and those that are
entered between April 1 – September 30 may be eligible for these matching grant requests:

• $5,000 Grants                 
  • First 5 employee entries of $5,000+ (combined gift total). Grant will support any qualifying nonprofit of each employee’s choice.
• $1,000 Grants
  • First 5 employee entries of $1,000+ (combined gift total). Grant will support any qualifying nonprofit of each employee’s choice.
• $1,000 CSOM Grants
  • First 5 employee entries of $1,000+ to the Carlson School of Management (CSOM). Grant will support the CSOM.

Carlson Community Giving Campaign Grants

• $1,000 Grants
  • Five employee entries of $250+ (combined gift total) will be randomly drawn at the close of the Campaign. Grant will support any qualifying nonprofit of each employee’s choice.
• $1,000 Volunteer Grants
  • Five employee entries of 5+ hours (combined total) will be randomly drawn at the close of the Campaign. Grant will support any qualifying nonprofit of each employee’s choice.
• $1:$1 Partner Matches
  • The first $25,000 in employee entries to Partner Organizations will be matched dollar-for-dollar at the close of the Campaign.

To be eligible, all volunteer time and financial donations must be entered into this portal by the end of the 2025 Campaign.
Donors will be sent matching grant recommendation forms when their donation is deemed eligible.
Recommendation forms must be completed and submitted by the deadline indicated in the notification and/or form.
